Capella Fahoome has been a producer since 1994. In 1998, she started a production company, Defining Entertainment, Inc. with a partner and $250. Within three years, Defining Entertainment’s sales had surpassed $500,000 and it was listed in the Baltimore Business Journal as one of Baltimore's top 10 production companies. She has a talent for making the unlikely happen – on time and on budget. Two of her favorite challenges were suspending a 30-foot fully functioning copper chandelier from a bridge over the Chesapeake Bay and erecting 12-foot smiley faces along the Atlantic Ocean. Capella’s attention to detail, organization, crew relations, and passion has made all of her productions successful. Creativity and commitment are her signature attributes as a producer. These qualities are evidenced by her portfolio, which includes feature films, a television documentary series, national and regional television commercials, music videos, and short films. Her most recent projects include the A&E documentary series Random 1 and the independent feature film Euphoria. One of the original producers of Random 1, she worked with creators John Chester and Andre Miller for four years on its development before A&E picked it up.  Hailed as ‘revolutionary television’, the Random 1 team roams the streets of America in search of people willing to share their stories, and in the process, helps them connect with others in order to solve a variety of problems. In 2003, she produced the independent feature film Euphoria, which was funded by a grant from the National Institute of Health. Targeted towards a teenage audience, Euphoria travels the country exploring the mindless pursuit of the ‘American Dream’ using a variety of props and visual metaphors. The film has been accepted into festivals throughout the country, including the Santa Fe and Maryland Film Festivals as well as Houston Worldfest. Capella is an executive committee member of the Maryland Production Alliance and is very active in the Maryland film community. Capella is an avid motorcycle rider and finished her first marathon (Marine Corps Marathon) on October 30, 2005.
